Not a stranger to firefighting life.  Since a kid, he used to hear a friend of the family talk about how proud he was to serve as a Volunteer Firemen, an idea which grow and made him join the Fire Department at a young age.

In the Panama Canal Zone he served as Officer and Station Commander at the  Panama Canal Fire Division on the Pacific Side.

For many years served as a consultant to the “Oficina de Seguridad del Cuerpo de Bombero de Panamá” (Fire Prevention Office) where he was a key consulting officer in founding the Photographic Investigation Unit and also sharing his knowledge to implement Fire Safety Regulations being used to this day nationwide in the Republic of Panama.

Currently retired living in central Florida with his family, Maj. Murphy continues to keep up to date in Fire Fighting Associations and now seeking donations for the Panama Bomberos Voluntarios in his second homeland, Panamá.

Murphy (CBP Ret.) and the local Nation wide distribution logistics of ACOIBP (National Association of the Panama Fire Department Officers Clubs) it’s President Major Antonio Phillips supported by the Panama City Officers Club and it’s President Captain Alberto Davis.
